Yellowhead Regional Employment Skills & Services
(YRESS) is a
non-profit, government funded organization providing
employment assistance services to unemployed and
underemployed people in Minnedosa, surrounding communities
and RM’s.
YRESS is currently looking for a
Program Facilitator (Job Placement
and Youth Coordinator) to mentor 6 Youth with barriers to
employment during a 24-week program.
This is a F/T
term position commencing Monday, February 13, 2012 and
ending Friday, July 27, 2012. Salary is $20/hour for 37.5
hours per week.
The
candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Post secondary education in a related field or a satisfactory combination of education and work experience
- Experience working with employment and training programs
- Counselling skills strongly preferred
- Able to develop and foster partnerships with business, community groups and government
- Knowledge of the labour market and labour market trends
- Marketing and promotions experience
- A high degree of motivation, organization and interpersonal skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle
